In regard of the media report about Hsinchu City Fire Bureau requires the longest average response time to respond a fire repot across the nation, Hsinchu City Fire Bureau states and clarifies that they actually have one of the fastest respond time across the nation; they have a "multi-instruction phone dispatching system" installed which reduces the time required to dispatch a unit to an average of 30 to 40 seconds, and can be as short as 20 seconds.

The unique multi-instruction phone dispatching system in Hsinchu City Fire Bureau was installed during 2004. The system can enable all broadcasting mainframes in all fire units simultaneously, and making dispatching multiple fire units possible. The system is also used in teleconference, educational training, or important notice broadcasting.

Hsinchu City Fire Bureau states that fire squads can receive broadcastings in any corner in the Fire Bureau. Fire squads will start preparing to dispatch once a fire is reported, while their colleagues are investigating essential information such as building structure, location of the fire, smoking or fire outbreak, trapped or injured personnel.

The Fire Bureau also combines the multi-instruction phone dispatching system with a dispatching model "National Fire Agency dispatching system" this year. The bureau states that the media reference on fire agency response time is different from the actual response time.
