In order for the public to get used to "cloud receipt," Hsinchu City Tax Bureau (HCCTB) formed a "most adorable age gap" pair to promote cloud receipt. The 20-year-old university student Li Peize utilized summer vacation to work part-time in HCCTB. He and his partner, the 67-year-old volunteer Shi Ruxiu, became the best combination and thoroughly explained how to store cloud receipt to the public. So far, they almost served 200 people since July.
Li Peize is a second year accounting student of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, and he is also a Hsinchu City citizen. He worked part-time in HCCTB and joined the cloud receipt promotion team during his summer vacation. He patiently described and explained how to store cloud receipt to the public. Many citizens went to HCCTB and appointed him to be their specialist.
Shi Ruxiu joined the volunteer team after she retired from work. Since she was not good at computer and cellphone, she doubted if she was competent at this position in the beginning. However, she followed the spirit of "live and learn," and now, she is professional in this area. She even set a goal of serving at least 10 people a day when she is on duty.
The public has a chance to win two prizes (a general prize and a special prize) through cloud receipt lottery. There are many advantages of storing cloud receipt. For example, cloud receipt saves time and effort for matching the lottery receipt numbers on the paper receipts in person. Additionally, the prize winners will receive a prize-winning message, and the winning prize will be directed to their personal account.
HCCTB stated that in order to encourage the public to use carriers (cellphone barcode, easy card, iCASH, and iPASS) to store cloud receipt, Ministry of Finance prepared a special prize of a total of $35 million NTD for cloud receipt lottery (15 $1 million NTD prizes and 15,000 $2,000 NTD prizes) starting from the period between July and August. Cloud receipt will be stored to customer's carrier once the convenience store clerk scans the cellphone barcode. The winning prize will direct to the winners' personal account automatically if they had set up an account to receive prize, and this will also save stamp tax fee. For any inquiries, visit HCCTB website, call 03-5225161 ext. 210, call 0800-086969, or call 1999 the public service line.
