Capture 7 Gold Medals, 5 Silvers, and 4 Bronzes in National Cheerleading Championship; Kuang-Fu High School Cheerleaders Amazed the Nation

2017 National Cheerleading Championship began on Dec. 2 with 382 teams and over 2000 cheerleaders nationwide participated in the championship. Kuang-Fu High School has captured 7 gold medals, 5 silvers, and 4 bronze with their outstanding performances. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien states that Kuang-Fu High School Cheerleading Team has demonstrated their enthusiasm and vitality; they are the benchmark for all Hsinchu City cheerleading teams and also made a name for both themselves and their school. Mayor Lin encourages the students to work their way to their dreams and be the hero of their own story.
Mayor Lin states Kuang-Fu High School Cheerleading Team has been winning numerous awards ever since it was established in 2012 and is known as a strong contingent by all other teams across the nation. In addition to the great achievement Kuang-Fu Cheerleading Team has concluded in the National Cheerleading Championship, their ex-team members He Wei'en and Chen Yuzheng had represented Taiwan to participate the 2015 World Cheerleading Championship and captured a gold medal in Coed Premier.
Mayor Lin points out that the Hsinchu City Government has been actively improving the sports facilities in Hsinchu City in order to strengthen the foundation of sports development. The City Government has invested $84 million in perfecting school sports facilities since 2015; this act has supported 8 school sports field renovations and 17 sports court improvement constructions.
"A team success is based on the effort of every team members," says Lin Yijing, one of the Kuang-Fu High School Cheerleading Team coaches. She indicates that some of the members in the team have never learnt how to dance before they joined the cheerleading team; they need some times to develop synergy with other team members and to overcome the fear while being tossed at height.
Hsinchu City Department of Education states the National Cheerleading Championship is the largest cheerleading competition domestically. Kuang-Fu High School has captured 7 golds, 5 silvers, and 4 bronzes including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze in duo/coed technical and 4-perosn technical groups; 5 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes in the pom-pom category; 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 1 bronze in hip-pop single, duo, and group categories. The Department of Education is thankful to the president of Kuang-Fu High School Huang Dunhuan and the 5 coaches Lin Yijing, Liao Zhihua, Chen Ailin, Hong Shangzhu, and Juang Bowen; hoping that this cheerleading contingent will strive more glories for Hsinchu City.
