"Silver and Copper Sculpture Exhibition" held by Hsinchu City "Community Master" Zhuo Jinlong begins from today in Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau (HCCCAB). Countryside tools and traditional buildings are fully presented by the sculptures in the exhibition. The sculptures were made of coppers and silvers that look real and gorgeous. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held in Jhusyuan Gallery on this Saturday (May 26) at 10:30.
HCCCAB stated that Mr. Zhuo is 73 years old now. He started to work with glasses since 15 and had been selected as the Minghu community master in 2011. Aside from silver and copper sculpture creation, he is also good at poetry. His artworks cover diverse areas, and he also uses bottle caps to make his paintings. His creations had attracted many visitors outside of Hsinchu City.
Mr. Zhuo stated that his copper creations are all hand-made without using molds and lathes. After collecting the information he needed for the creation, he had to do the detailed research on its features. Furthermore, the sculptures had to go through anti-corrosive treatment to make them unfading. His creations required a lot of works that he usually spent serval months to complete one creation.
"Zhuo Jinlong's Silver and Copper Sculpture Exhibition" is taking place in Jhusyuan Gallery and Meide Gallery located on the second floor of HCCCAB from now to June 3. The public is welcome to visit the exhibition. For any inquiries, call 03-5332841 HCCCAB Visual Arts Section service line or 1999 the public service line.
