Hsinchu City now has a new great tourism spot! The construction of "Long'en Zun Landscape Space" was officially completed. Hsinchu City Government (HCCG) will hold a parent-child event – "Roaming around Long'en Zun・Day for a Walk" on this coming Saturday (May 19). The event contains cultural and creative market, musical performances, and parent-child activities. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that Long'en Zun is important to "Hsinchu Forest." It is near to Zhongyang (Central) Park which connects the green spaces in Hsinchu City. Mayor Lin welcomes the public to visit Long'en Zun and have a great afternoon on this Saturday.
Mayor Lin stated that Long'en Zun is one of the three old zuns in Hsinchu City. In the past, Long'en Zun divided Sanmin Road longitudinally and caused inconvenience around the area. Therefore, HCCG established a bridge across Long'en Zun and not affecting the ecological environment.
Deputy Director of HCCG City Marketing Department Lin Zhengguang stated that the walk path in Long'en Zun was originally made of solid materials such as traditional permeable bricks, red bricks, and sustainable plastic woods, which was not suitable for children activities. Since there was not enough space for planting turf, HCCG set up artificial turf instead. Furthermore, HCCG established "Floating Platform" which could maintain the ecological environment in Long'en Zun. In order for the residents and animals living around Long'en Zun not to be affected by the street lights, HCCG had designed mushroom style garden post lights and bigger street lamp shades.
Deputy Director Lin stated that "Roaming around Long'en Zun・Day for a Walk" will be held on May 19 (Saturday) from 15:00 to 19:00. There will be 40 featured art stands and cultural and creative market. Moreover, the event contains musical performances and parent-child activities. City Marketing Department invites the public to join the event and have a great afternoon at Long'en Zun on this Saturday.
