In order to Celebrates “Hsinchu State Hall 90-Year Anniversary,” Hsinchu City Government organizes a 16-day event series and invites the public to walk into the State Hall. "The One Day Little Mayor" debuts on November 5 and 11. 40 children between the ages of 4 and 7 years old have put on the vests with their names and become the "cutest little Mayors."

Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien holds a simulated meeting with the children and guides them to edit official documents on his desk; leads the children to experience daily tasks of a city mayor. Children engage the activities with excitement and enthusiasm, but most of them say that they did not expect that the Mayor have to deal with so many readings, editing, and meetings.

Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau points out that the One Day Little Mayor invites 4 to 7-year old children to tour around the departments and enter the Mayor's Office which normally forbids public entry. Parents can accompany their children and have a better understanding of the Hsinchu State Hall.

"Hsinchu State Hall 90-Year Anniversary Event Series" has 5 major events – The Art of Lights and Shadows, The Old Times, State Hall Discovery, The Carnival in the State Hall, and Retro Style Market.
