In order to respond to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 and encourage persons with disabilities to go outdoor, Hsinchu City Government collaborates with Eden Social Welfare Foundation and other persons with disabilities service groups to hold an event series with 7 sections and 11 sessions. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien encourages the public to actively participate in the event and establish an accessible-friendly city.

Mayor Lin states, he launched the first "credential renew service vehicle" for persons with disabilities in Taiwan after he was elected. The vehicles offer them the services of renewing credentials at their place, so they don't have to go out to renew their credentials. In order for persons with disabilities to enjoy accessible environment on 2016, the City Government launched the "synchronized listen-and-type service" one year earlier than the central government. In addition, the City Government launches the first accessible short trip for persons with disabilities in Taiwan and founds the needs assessment and resource management center for persons with disabilities (sunshine lane 198).

Chen Xuehui, the director of Hsinchu City Government Department of Social Affairs, states that the event series includes two sessions of "accessible trip – outdoor experience event for persons with disabilities," "infinity love – series of friendly stores and featured vehicle teams charity procession," and "disabled persons' welfare promotional carnival." In addition, the event series has two lectures about rights and interests for persons with disabilities.

Director Chen Xuehui states, the parent-child lecture "To hear the voice through the communication with heart" will be held on November 18. The event invites Wang Xiaoshu, an anchor of Chinese Public TV, to share her experience to the public. On November 30, the participants from the accessible short trip will share their trip experiences to the public and display the trip photos. Furthermore, on December 1, the City Government will host award ceremony for meritorious members served for persons with disabilities.

Department of Social Affairs suggests the public to help out on sharing the event information and participate in the event with families and friends. For relevant event information, please search at https://milya.updog.co/ or contact the Department of Social Affairs at 03-5151560.
