Hsinchu City Becomes the Consecutive Winner of Happiness Index Survey

According to the “2017 Counties and Cities Happiness Index Survey” conducted by Money-Udn and Nanshan Life, Hsinchu City received record-breaking 76.2 points, and became the back to back winner of the most blessed Counties and Cities, Mayor Lin Chih-chien is thankful for the public's affirmation, and in responding to the public's support, he will continue to work hard for making Hsinchu a better City. 

The "2017 Counties and Cities Happiness Index Survey" revealed that Hsinchu City's Happiness Index had increased from 69.1 (last year) to history-high 76.2(this year), becoming the back to back winner of the report. Moreover, Hsinchu City's "Objective Happiness" and "Subjective Happiness" Indexes are increasing as well, receiving 67.8 and 75.9 points this year; the City also received the second place with 76 points in "Local Government Satisfaction Index".

Mayor Lin stated, since he was elected, he made all out efforts under limited resources, Hsinchu City has an unique DNA of "4 high one low" of high education level, high birth rates, high income, and highest consuming power with lowest average age. Mayor Lin also stated, taking care of the seniors and the children is the responsibility of the City Government, he reduced the pressure of "Sandwich Generation", allowing them to focus on work without worries.

Mayor Lin pointed out, Hsinchu City was lacking large-scale public constructions in last ten years, since he was elected, he began infrastructure constructions projects related to citizens; he consistently invites experts and scholars every week to host "Major Infrastructure Constructions Report", planning the urban development  blueprints; therefore, when the Central Government launched the "Infrastructure Construction Foresight", Hsinchu City was ready and actively applying for construction budgets such as "Great Train Station" and "Light Rails" Projects.
 
Mayor Lin pointed out that next year will be the 300th Anniversary of Hsinchu City, and he will continue to work hard in making Hsinchu a better City.
