Hsinchu City Youbikes have now operated for nearly a year, a total of more than 1.16 million usages have been accumulated, three new stations – Dongda Wuling, Xinzhuang, and Heping Park stations are newly added to the system today, creating convenience for people to visit the doctors or go shopping, Mayor Lin Chih-chien pointed out, YouBike changed the transportation habits of the citizens, changed the face of the city, and allowed the tourists to visit the alleyways to stimulate tourism, there are currently 1000 vehicles with 40 stations, adding in the 8 stations in the Science Park, a total of 53 stations will be setup by the end of the year, maturing green transportation network "with a station every 1000 meters".

Mayor Lin shared, the public cycling system is a sign of the city's improvement, not only the citizens use it to exercise, visitors can also be seen riding them in the hard-to-reach alleys finding delicacies, it improves the businesses and stimulates city tourism.
Doctor Kao from the Military hospital stated, the station which was set up next to the hospital was long hoped, it not only create convenience for visitors, but also reduces carbon emission for the city, she encourages the public to use the system, reduce scooter accidents, and exercise at the same time.
