Virtual and Physical Matching Service; the First Large Career Fair in Hsinchu City of the Year

The first large-scale career fair after the Lunar New Year will be taking place in National Hsinchu Commercial & Vocational High School on Feb. 24. The job fair is co-organized by Ministry of Labor, Hsinchu Science Park Park Bureau, and Hsinchu City Government (HCCG). 60 enterprises provide a total of 3,867 position vacancies. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien welcomes unemployed citizens or citizens who wish to pursue a different career to join the career fair.
 
Director of Hsinchu City Government Department of Labor Affairs (HCCGDLA) Huang Jinyuan stated that the career fair will be using "live employment matching system" to conduct interviews. Career seekers can register for membership and update their personal profiles on Taiwan jobs (Taiwan Jiuye Tong) website ahead of time to minimize the check-in time. There are positions with starting monthly salary of $50,000 to $60,000 NT dollars or more opened for application; and 1,901 position openings have the starting monthly salary over $30,000.
 
In order to stimulate the development of skilled and talented personnel in Hsinchu City, project "Training and Employment of Skilled Personnel for Key Industries" by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) will also be hiring in the career fair. The jobs offered by MOST provide postdoctoral persons on the job training opportunities with monthly salary of $60,000 during training period.
 
Director Huang stated that the employment service provided by Department of Labor Affairs has transformed into a service that will proactively look for unemployed citizens and offer them help and employment opportunity. Director Huang mentioned that in order to offer Hsinchu citizens diverse choices to advance in different careers, HCCG planned 8 sessions of career training for unemployed this year and will continue to organize service, programming, and business application management related trainings in the future.
