Donate receipts (lottery receipts) to exchange for monthly calendar! Hsinchu City Local Tax Bureau promotes featured monthly calendars every year, and the calendars were popular among the public. The 2018 version of high quality texture rubbing calendar has been introduced to the public. The calendar uses simple and unsophisticated lines to render 12 well known temples; every page in the calendar is embellished with gold foil to match with the New Year's atmosphere. The Tax Bureau stated that the public is welcome to come to the public convenience service center located on the first floor of the tax bureau and donate lottery receipts to get free calendar.
Director of Hsinchu City Tax Bureau Fan Chunluan stated that the rubbings on the calendars were based on the stories and the deeds of famous temples such as Mazu (Tianhou) Temple, Tian Gong Altar, Jinshan Temple, Guan Temple, and Chenghuang Temple. He hoped that rubbings would answer their prayers and bring the public a peaceful and healthy year.
The public can go to Hsinchu City Tax Bureau during office hours and donate either virtual receipt (such as mobile bar code, EasyCard, icash and others) or paper receipt of November and December. Every 5 virtual receipts or every 10 paper receipts can exchange for a 2018 limited edition calendar. Quantities are limited while supplies last.
Director Fan pointed out that the Tax Bureau printed featured calendars every year and promoted the receipt-calendar exchange event in order to enforce the concepts of taxing; reminding the public to request for receipt after consumption. There are also tax and the public convenience tips on the calendars, and all the receipts collected will be donated to social welfare organizations.
