In order to celebrate "Hsinchu State Hall 90-Year Anniversary," Hsinchu City Government held a 16 days event series with 5 topics started from October 28. "One Day Little Mayor Experience," "Retro Style Market," and "State Hall Discovery" attracted a lot of people to visit the State Hall on November 11. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien states, he hopes the City Government will be like a museum that offers the public an edutainment domain.

Mayor Lin states Hsinchu State Hall is an important 90-year old historical site. In order for the public to experience the history of the state hall, the City Government offices will be opened to the public during "Hsinchu State Hall 90-Year Anniversary." Mayor Lin hopes that "One Day Little Mayor" event will build up the base of Hsinchu City's history, culture, and education.

In "One Day Little Mayor" event, the children simulated assembling meeting with Mayor Lin. "I want to build a kindergarten." a child said while the mayor asked them "What do you want to do when you become a mayor?" during the meeting. Feifei, a student from Hsinchu City Tungmen Primary School, suggested Mayor Lin to beautify Hsinchu City Moat during the activity of editing official documents which impressed the mayor.

Li Zhirong, a five years old "little mayor," especially wore suit and tie in the event. "He saw that Mayor Lin always wore suit and tie to participate in all events, so he wants to dress properly to meet the mayor," Li Zhirong's mother said. Mayor Lin also took a picture with Li Zhirong at the end.

Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau states, "Hsinchu State Hall 90-Year Anniversary Event Series" had 5 major events – "The Art of Lights and Shadows," "The Old Times," "State Hall Discovery," "The Carnival in the State Hall," and "Retro Style Market." For relevant event information, please visit the City Government Facebook fan page "Hsinchu Xin Xian Shi" at: https://goo.gl/QQDc2i; by phone 03-5332841 or 1999 the public service line.
