In order to upgrade Hsinchu City cultural and creative environment in the old town district, Hsinchu City Government launches the "Hsinchu-Like: old town cultural and creative industry development plan" and establishes industry brands for three classic shops and three youth entrepreneur' shops. Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau held an achievements exhibition from November 8 to November 15 to create urban cultural and industry-featured brands through the designs, field researches, and the shops' features.

Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien states, Hsinchu City is a "Young Old Town" that has the features of high income, high birth rate, high education, and youngest population structure. The "Hsinch-Like" plan combines cultural and creative designs with local industries to make Hsinchu City's culture a diverse and unique culture. "Hsinchu-Like" is also "Hsinchu Young," Mayor Lin states (the pronunciations of Hsinchu-Like and Hsinchu Young are the same in Mandarin). He affirms that there will be more young people moving to Hsinchu City.

Cultural Affairs Bureau states, the three classic shops are Hong An Pharmacy, Peng Pastry, and Feng Gu Glutinous Oil Rice shop; the three youth entrepreneur' shops are Choccy Metal Café, Mixing Studio, and Warm and Wall Café.
