Hsinchu City Dongning Temple hosted Bodhisattva's birthday ceremony on July 29th of Lunar Calendar (September 19); during the ceremony, they donated a patrol car, Toyota 2,000cc Camry to Hsinchu City Police Bureau and 1,000 alarm systems to Hsinchu City Fire Bureau. Mayor Lin Chih-chien presented a shield-shaped Certificate of Appreciation to Dongning Temple's donations.
Maylor Lin stated, Dongning Temple is an important religious center for Hsinchu residents, and the Temple has been actively participating in charity such as giving out free rice and bento boxes.
Indeed, the Temple also valued local law and order; they had donated fire engines, disaster rescue trucks, patrol cars, Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and alarm systems in recent year. In addition, they also donated a Toyota 2,000cc Camry patrol car during ceremony today (19) to Dongmen Police Station, showing their support in creating a better and safer living environment for the City. According to the survey from CommonWealth Magazine, the law and order satisfaction had increased from 79.49% to 82.15% comparing to last year.
"Top-notch residents deserve top-notch living quality" Mayor Lin stated, since he was elected, he had been actively launching public construction projects, providing comprehensive services, hosting art and culture festivals. He also encourages the City Government employees to continue their hard work in creating a blessed City for the public.
