Hsinchu City Hakka Yimin Festival will Debut on September 9

Hsinchu City Hakka Yimin Festival will event series will begin on September 9, Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated, Yimin Ye is an important religious culture of Hakka people, every July to September each year, Yimin Festival will be hosted by the Yimin Temples; the City Government hosts event series, such as parade, exhibitions, lecture, ceremony, music concert…etc., for the festival, passing down the culture while allowing the public to learn more and experience traditional Hakka festival.
 
The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated, the parade event will begin on September 9 at 10 am starting from Guanxin Park, there are 66 teams and more than 600 participants, including local Hakka Association, local residents, and the others; the parade is expected to arrive Kaitai Jinshan Temple following by a peace banquet, allowing participants to receive blessings from Yimin Ye.  
 
At 15:30 in Guanxin Park, there will be dancing performances, inviting Hakka people to bring traditional Hakka songs and dances; moreover, the Hakka music concert will begin at 18:30, inviting famous Hakka singers to bring fantastic music performances. In addition, the Hakka Culture Photography Exhibition begins at Cultural Affairs Bureau Shuliu Gallery.
