Welcome the Hsinchu City's Critical Evolutional Year; Mayor Lin Chih-chien Makes a New Year Greeting to The First Credit Cooperative of Hsinchu

February 21 was the first day after the Chinese New Year's holidays. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien made a New Year greeting to financial banks including The First Credit Cooperative of Hsinchu (HCFC Bank), The Third Credit Cooperative of Hsinchu, and Taiwan Cooperative Bank Hsinchu Branch. He appreciated all local financial banks for their efforts, and he pointed out that 2018 will be the Hsinchu City's critical evolutional year. Mayor Lin stated that he will continue to work on urban development, and he wished everyone a happy 2018.
 
Mayor Lin emphasized that he improved the city façade through upgrading Hsinchu Station, Hsinchu Bus Station, Railway Station Underpass, and the Hsinchu Station pedestrian area. The upgrade solved the traffic chaos in front of Hsinchu Station and created a new city facade. Now, many tourists take pictures and check in at Hsinchu Station.

"2018 is the Hsinchu City's critical evolutional year," said Mayor Lin. Many major constructions are in progress, and some of the constructions such as transforming World Expo Taiwan Pavilion into Children Discovery Center, children hospital construction, reestablishment of baseball court, Gongdao Third Road construction will begin this year. The future urban development plans include Great Hsinchu Station Project, beautifying Hsinchu Fish Harbor, improving traffic facilities and conditions, and education plan. He had been invested $2.8 billion dollars in New Campus Movement including refurbishing 22 old school buildings and founding Hsinchu City Waldorf Experimental Education School. Mayor Lin stated that he will continue to apply funds from the central government in order to significantly improve the urban façade.
 
Guo Jinxiong, Chairman of Directors of HCFC Bank, stated that Hsinchu City had a significant improvement in the past three years. He appreciated Mayor Lin for establishing a brand new city façade. HCFC Bank is 105 years old, and it has 16 business units and serves over 200,000 people in Hsinchu area. Chairman of Directors Guo stated that HCFC Bank will do its best to provide the best service quality to the public.
