Hsinchu City Government cooperates with the Alliance of Taiwan Foodbanks and delivers 5000 Taiwanese Snappers (Tilapia) to caring stations, social welfare organizations, and families that needed help across the Hsinchu City.
Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien gives certificate of appreciation to Jingfu Community, Jingfu Village, Alliance of Taiwan Foodbanks, HCT Logistics, and FunChef Association as the gratitude of working together and helps the needed.
Mayor Lin states fresh foods are not easy to store, prepare, and deliver. Despite all the problems this event would cause, Hsinchu City Department of Social Affairs still starts arranging for the food distribution at the instant of receiving the news. HCT Logistic delivers the fishes to Hsinchu City, and the Department of Social Affairs distributes 3570 fishes to 47 caring stations, table-sharing canteens, and social welfare organizations.
Mayor Lin and the Department of Social Affairs state that for the convenience of the needed families, FunChef Association gathers 60 cooks to design and prepare the remaining 1430 Taiwanese Snappers into vacuum-sealed ready-to-eat packages. The food packages can be heated in boiling water with the package on. Hope an additional fish dish for needed families and elders will make their winter a bit warmer.
Department of Social Affairs appreciates Fujing Village and Fujing Community for their generosity of lending the convocation center and gathering community volunteers to join the commonweal event. 60 cooks from Funchef go to the Fujing convocation center and start cooking from 7 am in the morning. Some of the cooks take a day off so they can offer their helps in this commonweal event, and some even bring the equipment from their own restaurant. The cooks have worked from morning to dusk and finished almost 1975 packages.
Department of Social Affairs states Mayor Lin has established 5 "Love．Share．The Refrigerator" even since he was elected. The refrigerators have shared over 6700 kg of food and this measure receives great feedbacks from the public.
Hsinchu City is a blessed city filled with love.
