The second semester of 2017 academic year public order promotion event was held on Feb. 22 at Hsinchu City Xi-Men Primary School (XMPS). In order to enhance the awareness of drug abuse, Hsinchu City Government introduced the educational tools of simulated emerging club drugs for local junior high schools and primary schools.

Director of Hsinchu City Department of Education Li Fangling stated that Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien has been actively working on establishing friendly and safe school environments since he was elected. In order for school teachers and students to efficiently recognize emerging club drugs, the city government especially purchased the educational tools of simulated emerging club drugs for local junior high schools and primary schools.

"Many drugs have similar appearance to food now. It's nice to have these educational tools to help us to recognize the drugs," grade 6 student of XMPS Li Yujie said. The educational tools could be used in classes to avoid the situation of taking drugs by mistake.

Department of Education stated that the local schools have been actively promoting three major subjects – "school bullying prevention," "student drug abuse prevention," and "anti-pornography and anti-violence." Department of Education hopes that parents and schools would pay attention to students' routine lives and interpersonal relationships; and keeping students away from school bullying and drugs.
