Hsinchu City Government Department of City Marketing states that sliders in Green Green Grassland will undergo maintenance and facility renewal to ensure and upgrade the safety of the sliders. The sliders will serve the public again with brand new appearance on Jan. 15 next year; before then, please do not use the sliders for safety concerns.

More than 400,000 people have visited the Green Green Grassland sliders since the sliders were opened to the public last July. All relevant facilities have satisfied the safety standard; however, due to the frequent usages of the public, some facilities have shown signs of worn. Mild slope section of the blue slider will be extended 7 meters as an extra buffer zone and provide a safer and more comfortable recreation environment. The safety cushions at the end of the slider sometimes are considered too thick and soft, and will be replaced by high wear-resist, thinner, and slightly harder cushions.

Additional trees will be planted in the grassland and allow the public to enjoy leisure time under the trees; multi-function sceneries "Curved Swing" and "Circle of Love" turf will also be implanted which can be used for resting, wedding photography, and check-in on Facebook. "Playscape," a playground which is fun to play and has low maintenance cost, will also join the grassland, so children can have fun through all sorts of physical activities such as climbing, jumping, swinging, and balancing.

Hsinchu City Department of City Marketing states the construction is carrying out during the period when the winter northeast monsoon is strong. The public please pay attention to the construction signs and do not enter the restricted area.
