In order for the nationals to have a basic understanding about national military, Hsinchu Air Base will be officially opened for the public on Nov. 25. Hsinchu City Government acquires a benefit for Hsinchu City residents (household registration at Hsinchu City) that they can visit the air base earlier on Nov. 21 and Nov. 23. The City Government encourages the public to visit the air base and cheer for the national armed forces.

Since the last opening day for the air base attracted about 18,000 visitors and caused the traffic jam on 2015, the City Government appeals the public to pay attention to relative traffic control information on Nov. 25. If the public is interested in visiting the air base, the City Government recommends the public to visit the air base on Nov. 21 and Nov. 23.

Hsinchu City Government Department of Civil Affairs states that in order to ease the traffic jam efficiently on Nov. 25, Hsinchu City Government Department of Transportation and Hsinchu City Police Bureau plan to set up 6 parking lots that provide 9,000 vehicle parking spaces and 10,000 scooter parking spaces. The public can utilize the 8 shuttle bus routes and 256 shuttle bus shifts after parking. The shuttle bus has added 100 shifts this year compared to 2015. The traffic control will be distinguished by outer-control and inner-control, so the local residents will not be affected.

Apart from traffic control, the City Government also utilizes city marketing. There will be 180 street vendors stationing in the air base. Hsinchu City Government Department of City Marketing also collaborates with 5 Hsinchu City hotels to launch the "hotel accommodation deals" including "dinner bed and breakfast deals," "free room-upgrade," and "giving out Hsinchu City's top ten souvenirs."

Department of Civil Affairs states that Hsinchu City residents can enter the air base on Nov. 21 and Nov. 23 by showing their IDs. The demonstration includes Dassault Mirage, F-16, and the thunder tiger aerobatics.
